WATCH DOGS (Dads Of Great Students):
The Watch DOGs program was created by the National Center for Fathering. Its purpose is to increase male involvement in schools and provide positive male role models for students. The program is a chance for fathers or father figures (grandfathers, uncles, etc.) to take an active part in their students' day. The program invites “Dads” to spend a day or half day at school volunteering in various ways. The Watch DOGs help with everything from welcoming students in the morning, mentoring students one on one with reading or math games, helping out at recess playing games, patrolling the campus and hallways, eating lunch with students, and spending time in your student’s classroom. Students and staff look forward to our Watch DOGs each and every day. Their presence and support for our school is greatly appreciated.
